I'm sorry but my German is very poor. I'm a relative of this photographer and I can provide more information about his life if someone wants to translate it to German and add it to the page:

Franz Limbrunner (full name is "Anton Franz Xaver Limbrunner") took over the family business around 1904, and sold it around 1908 (I have a photograph he took dated that year) to Adam Hoffman.
He learned the techniques of Heliogravure and Rotogravure (I have an Heliogravure dated 1904) and worked in the printing presses at the newspapers "La Vanguardia" in Barcelona, Spain and "Die Unie" in Batavia (now Jakarta), Dutch East Indies in the 1920s and 1930s along with his son Erich Limbrunner (Straubing 1906-1975), who also worked as a news photographer for "La Vanguardia".
They were interned at Dehradun's civilian camp during the war and Franz retired upon his return to Straubing at the end of WW2.
